This was my entry for the Mosman Art Prize exhibition, which unfortunately has been cancelled due to Covid, so I have decided to list it for sale.
While gathering fallen flowers in my garden, I was inspired to take them indoors and arrange a still life composition with pieces of china. The title refers to how flowers (and the containers we put them in) bring light and joy into our lives, particularly during these dark times we are living through.
I enjoy including vases or objects in my still life paintings, from my collection of vintage or antique ephemera, having been slightly obsessed with collecting china and ceramics since I was much younger!
Acrylic on Gallery wrapped Canvas, ready to hang.
